Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist in 1995, Lisa has gained a wealth of experience in clinical and senior managerial roles both in the NHS and private health care settings. Lisa has spent several years working within litigation as an Independent Case Manager, undertaking Immediate Needs Assessments (INAs). She also carries a large and varied caseload of complex case management clients, so has an in depth understanding of the litigation process.
During her clinical career she managed a clinical caseload of complex cases. She has a breadth of clinical expertise in the areas of brain injury, long-term neurological conditions, cauda equina, disorders of consciousness, amputations, major orthopaedic injuries as well as supporting many clients with significant psychological sequalae related to trauma.
She provided senior clinical support and supervision at the stroke unit in Finchley Memorial Hospital, London and rehabilitation clinical support at Potters Bar Community Hospital.
In 2003 Lisa left the NHS to work for an independent occupational therapy and case management company. She took the lead for occupational therapy in the company, providing clinical support and advice to Claimants, Defendants and Insurers on how best to meet the ongoing rehabilitation and vocational needs of their clients.
Lisa works for Jane James & Associates as an independent Expert Witness taking instructions from both Claimants and Defendants for full care reports, aids and equipment reports, and Immediate Needs Assessments.
