Lisa has spent over 20 years working within litigation as an Independent Case Manager, undertaking Immediate Needs Assessments (INAs). She continues to manage a large and varied complex case load of individuals with catastrophic injuries, so has a robust and in depth understanding of occupational therapy, rehabilitation, care and the litigation process. She now holds a clinical advisory and professional mentoring role within the independent company she continues to work for.
During her clinical career she managed a clinical caseload of complex cases. She has a breadth of clinical expertise in the areas of brain injury, long-term neurological conditions, disorders of consciousness, amputations, major orthopaedic injuries as well as supporting many clients with significant psychological sequalae related to trauma.
She provided senior clinical support and supervision at the stroke unit in Finchley Memorial Hospital, London and rehabilitation clinical support at Potters Bar Community Hospital.
In 2003 Lisa left the NHS to work for an independent rehabilitation and case management company. She took the clinical lead for occupational therapy in the company, providing clinical support and advice to Claimants, Defendants and Insurers on how best to meet the ongoing rehabilitation and vocational needs of their clients.
Lisa works for Jane James & Associates as an independent Expert Witness taking instructions from both Claimants and Defendants for full care reports, aids and equipment reports, and Immediate Needs Assessments.
