Michelle qualified as a Registered Paediatric Nurse over 16 years ago and has experience of providing specialist care to both acutely unwell and chronically sick children. She has worked at a senior level in both acute and community settings caring for children with a variety of disorders including complex neurological, respiratory, childhood diabetes and oncological conditions. She also has significant experience of working with neo-nates and as a health visitor and gained her BSc in Public Health and Health Visiting in 2005.
Michelle works for Jane James & Associates as a Paediatric Expert compiling liability reports for both Claimant and Defendant clients. She has undertaken Bond Solon Expert Witness training. She also continues working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the community with children with complex and long term care needs.
Michelle’s breadth of clinical practice has enabled her to understand and respond to children’s acute health needs and their long term care requirements. She is committed to service development and the development of high quality care of disabled children and support for their families. Michelle has also worked within the area of sexual health promotion with young teens and has been commissioned to provide sexual health awareness training to professional clubs in the North West of England via the Football Association.
Since qualifying, Michelle has shown commitment to maintaining her continuing professional development, attending post graduate courses and conferences on a regular basis.
