Gary is an experienced HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist with a breadth of clinical expertise in the areas of brain injury, long-term neurological conditions, amputees, major orthopaedic injuries as well as mental health conditions to include schizophrenia, personality disorder, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder as well as substance and alcohol abuse. He is a specialist practitioner in Vocational Rehabilitation and is a qualified Functional Capacity Evaluator. This role allows him to analyse work demands, work environments. It also allows him to understand transferable skills and vocational needs in various sectors. Gary has a sound understanding of UK legislation and implementing reasonable adjustments within the workplace. In addition, Gary is a calibrated Assessment of Motor and Processing Skills (AMPS) assessor.

Ian Wharmby – Expert Witness

Ian is a Registered General Nurse, Occupational Health Nurse and Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist with over 30 years’ clinical experience. He is also a Registered Psychotherapist with an active caseload providing support services to staff on behalf of an NHS Trust in the North West.

He compiles full care, aids and equipment and liability reports for Jane James & Associates on behalf of Claimant and Defendant clients as well as undertaking specific psychological assessments. His medico-legal caseload includes; orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, and psychological injuries specifically PTSD, anxiety and depression. He has undertaken Expert Witness training via Bond Solon.

Trudie Stanley – Expert Witness

Trudie has over 20 years’ experience of working as a State Registered Occupational Therapist within both statutory services and the private sector. She has worked within community settings both for Social Services and the NHS and has specialised in the provision of adaptive equipment and housing for clients with severe disability. In the past 4 years, whilst maintaining part time NHS work, she has worked as a case manager and private OT working directly for insurers or on behalf of Claimants.
